![]() ![]() The difficulty is just on the level of Gunvolt 2. This one does almost everything that GV did but it didn't ruin my gameplay, it was hard enough but not obnoxiously hard for no reason, it didn't punish me because I didn't want to grind for hours just to get to a certain level to finish the final boss, LAiX ends up being the game with the worst story just because there is no stage dialogue like Japanese(English) setting in 1, or the default of 2. That fixes the dub and adds all the cut dialogue. The story in the first one also requires you to play with Japanese(English) as the language option. Its pretty much just GV2 but with more interesting levels, no jewel collecting ending, and Copen being added. Inafune was also not involved with GV2, which is the better game (probably the best in this series currently), but that has nothing to do with him not being involved. Its incredibly easy if you know the mechanics and just want to beat the game, but can become incredibly difficult for high ranks. The series is as easy or as difficult as you make it. Your issue was probably with not understanding the mechanics, which is actually a complaint with how the game doesnt really teach you how it works well outside of some quick dialogue and a tutorial menu section. Not to mention abusing the revive feature by talking to Joule. Even with the good GV1 levels you can make them even easier If you want by leaving Prevasion on and completely remove the damage penalty to make the game the easiest Megaman game in the genre. There are no big insta-kill traps, or screen-crunch deaths like in MN9. To be like MN9, GV would need to have cheap level design, which is pretty much the exact opposite of what it does. If a Game is making me angrier than happier then there's something wrong with it. ![]() Man that game is rough and not fun for me at least. ![]() So yeah, not the best story in the world but I do think that overall this game is way better than the previous one, and the only thing that made me happy to play the original one is that I could play this one. Actually, they never told even the past of the protagonist and wanted me to care about any character he cares for any reasons at all. The original GV has an awesome background story, it's pretty interesting, but the game is unable to present the story in a way that makes it feel complete and interesting. The story of this game is not stellar, but compared to the way they delivered GV's story, I care way more about the characters in this game than the previous one. That man wasn't able to create and direct a single game ever since he left Capcom, frankly I'm pretty sure they never allowed him to do everything he wanted because if they did probably Megaman X would be trash. Then after I watched the credits I understood why this game feels better, Inafune is not the director this time, that's why. ![]() This one does almost everything that GV did but it didn't ruin my gameplay, it was hard enough but not obnoxiously hard for no reason, it didn't punish me because I didn't want to grind for hours just to get to a certain level to finish the final boss, having skills here really mean something and the best part to me is not having to replay the game again just to unlock a different ending because I missed all of the gems there xD I like when a game is hard and have a good challenge, but as someone who can play the Entire Megaman Zero series with an S score without problems and without the cheats the Collection edition has, GV felt cheap in a lot of deaths I had, I ended the game more frustrated than anything else. But really, the previous GV gave me serious flashbacks to the Final Stages from Mighty N, 9 and that's not good at all. The only thing salvageable of that game were the challenges but frankly that's just a way to force you to play the same stage at least three times if you're good at the game, more if you' have more things to do. Look, the original Gun Volt is not bad, but I dunno if it's the PC version that's the problem or what but that game just feels way too much the almagamation of Megaman Zero with Mighty No 9, but you grab the worst of both of them and put together. ![]()
